• Gun Control

          Kander supports the 2nd but plans to require more extensive background checks. He also wishes to expand restrictions on concealed carry.

• Education

          Platform plans to increase schools' funding by expanding the sponsorship options for them. He also wishes to have charter schools in low income cities and districts.​

• Energy

          Kander supports alternative energy resources and the Missouri Clean Energy Act. He believes that renewable energy resources will increase Missouri jobs and security. Along with this he also wants to give a tax break to families who make their homes more energy efficient.

• Healthcare 

          Kander supports increased healthcare and wants special coverage for children.
